Solomon’s Adversaries

¹⁴ The Lord stirred up an adversary against Solomon, Hadad the Edomite. He was a prince of Edom. ¹⁵ For when David was in Edom, and Joab the commander of the army had gone to bury the slain, he had killed every male in Edom ¹⁶ (for six months Joab stayed there with his men until he had killed every male in Edom).
